Hi, my name is Chalet Beames. I am 18 and a freshman in college. The start of this blog was for my English teacher Mrs. Steadman who was having us do this for a grade. Though this is for a class, maybe I can continue to post and this can be a fun experience!
To begin I'll tell you a little bit about myself. I'm kind of sassy and energetic at times, but I have a really soft heart and I'm very compassionate towards others. I'm a redhead, athletic, and outdoorsy. I have five brothers and one sister. I am second to youngest, and my one sister is the oldest. So by the time my sister got out of the house and started going to college, I was still in elementary. Then as I got older and started growing up a bit more, it was like being raised by a bunch of boys. So beginning college living with 5 other girls is going to be an adventure. I plan on having a blast though!
Anyways, I wanted to start out this blog with a challenge. I am going to hopefully take an experience that I have each week or as often as I can and as I write about them in hopes to learn and grow from them. Learning from the trials in my life, whether good or bad, is something that I do usually try to do. Now as I am doing it, I think it will help me to develop more patience, become closer to those around me and through it all to develop my own character. After all, the title of my blog is 'Gettin Taller' so I intend on really trying to make myself stretch as I learn to develop Christlike qualities and experience life.
To everyone that reads this blog I hope you enjoy the stories I tell. I might get a little bit crazy at times but it's going to be a great ride. Hop on the Chalet train!
