Hailey, my roommate is pretty much the shiz. Why? It's cuz she's from Idaho! duh. I actually knew her before I got here to Utah, but we never had planned on living together. It just happened. Turns out, I met her at Girls State. So the first day I moved in I walked into my room and she was like sleeping on her bed, but she woke up and looked at me and was like, "Are you from Idaho?" Thats how cool she is- Idaho is the best!
But there really are actual reasons that I like her so much. First, her brother is hot. :) Second, she is one of my best friends here in Utah. Me and her have very similar personalities. We get along with each other very well, and don't seem to have problems with each other. Third, she doesn't take any of my crap or steal my food. So we are on the same page.
Hailey w/ blond hair

But for real, we are growing together and having a lot of good experiences. For example the other day we learned that you should think before you make quick decisions. We dyed her hair three times in less than ten hours. Let me just say, we would have been better to have never done it. We first started out buying some blond, the same product that I used to turn my hair from red to brown. But her hair is brown and you can't go blond unless you bleach it, so all this die did was to bring out the honey color in her hair. So then we went and bought the lightening creme to bleach her hair. This time it turned out like orangish, yellowish, vomit color. Blah, eewww, gross, was how it looked. Well maybe it wasn't that bad, but it didn't go well with her skin tone. So then we dyed it back to brown. She has a lot of hair and could probably use up to two boxes just to cover her whole head, but we only used one and it didn't get it all, so now she is just a wee bit polka-dotted.
Good times happen though. So I have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth, but it is really hard to floss them because you are supposed to stick this bluish thing like in between your teeth right next to the gums, but my teeth are really close and tight together so I can't do that. So she being like really cool helped my floss my teeth. It was a great experience. I should have taken pictures.
From her I also learned that if you are getting sick that all you have to do is cough really really really hard. So, I guess she gets strep easily, and the other day she developed this white thing on the back of her throat, so she like freaking coughed/ practically killed herself to get it off. But now she is not sick. So there are ways to prevent getting sick. :)
Having friends in certain times of my life is really good. They can help me to grow, and I can learn a lot from them. Even how to not make irrational decisions, how to floss the bottom portion of my teeth in different ways and how to cough white things off of the back of my throat. College life is the best.
