Transfer 11 Week 2 - June 9, 2014

Hey family!

How are things going?

Things here are well. We have been really trying to work hard to teach and find lately so pray for us in that regard. This next week the Stretch family should be getting baptized! Man I really love that family and have seen them all change in so many ways. This last week the kids were both able to come to mutual so that was super exciting. They both really enjoyed it and we are able to see that sometimes when the kids(or anyone) get connected to the ward then it makes all the difference in their conversion.

The Helriegel family in the Vineland ward that we have been working with lately were able to invite their cousins to come to mutual this last week and to church. This was super exciting. On Sunday after church we also taught them the restoration and invited them to be baptized. The boy, John, said yes and his sister, Elizabeth, said that she would think about it. Hopefully we can see them progress. Something that was super awesome about this was that these invitations occurred from an activity that we have been doing with the youth of the ward. It is the same activity that we started in Cape May last year. It is called Gumballs for God and it consisted of doing different activities where they hand out pass a long cards, give away bom, invite to church activity or church, share messages on fb, etc.
So Stevie Helriegel ended up inviting her cousins to mutual, and then gave them the bom. We asked her if she had put her testimony in the front and she told us no. But when we had the lesson with them, Elizabeth was able to say that she had only started reading because Stevie had put her testimony in the front. (which we were so happy that we encouraged her to do that) Anyways, it was super exciting to see how this little activity sparked an interest and now this family, and cousins will be so much closer together!

I'm so grateful for this gospel and the ability that it has to strengthen our lives. It is powerful and I know that it has changed my life. Hope you guys are able to see how a simple testimony has the ability to bless others. I encourage you all to give out a Book of Mormon this week and seek that opportunity to strengthen your own testimony and someone else.

Love,

Sister Chalet Beames
