This week has been so good. We started out by going to the light house
down at Port Norris! It sure was pretty and I enjoy p- days when we
are able to see some things.
I was able to go on an exchange this week with one of my favorite
sisters ever! It was sister Reyes! She was my companion when I came
out in to the mission that I trained! Man it was some good times and I
love her. This week has been so good though.
I really love weeks when we actually have less appointments some times
so we have the opportunity to just go and talk to so many people!
People are amazing and I love being able to share the gospel and
strike up conversation with everyone.
We had a goal this week to extend the invitation to five people to be
baptized because the zone focus was to one up our progressing
investigators with a date! It was super fun.
We found this girl named Salena. She was the niece of this guy that
requested missionaries but is never home. So this time we ended up
being able to start teaching her! She has never had much of a
relationship with God and hasn't been to church since she was
christened when she was four but she has this great light about her
and is eager to learn! Keep her in your prayers that she will be able
to continue to accept our message!
This week was youth conference for our stake so a lot of families were
busy and gone, but it was really great at church to hear so many of
them bear testimony of their experiences, I don't know why but I just
get so happy when the youth are able to have spiritual experiences!
Our two investigators John and Liz were both able to go to yc, and
they loved it. At one part of the trip the youth went to the temple so
John and Liz went to the visitors center and were able to go on the
temple grounds. They both bore their testimonies at one of the
meetings, and when they came back from the trip they seemed like
different people! We talked to them about getting baptized since
beforehand Liz wasn't quite sure, but they both said that they wanted
to and were prepared to talk to their dad who is a non member because
he was going to interview them beforehand as well to make sure they
knew why they were getting baptized! But I know that everything will
go well. I know that because of their faith. At the end of the lesson
we had a kneeling prayer and john so humbly prayed that everything
would go well with their dad so they could be baptized so they could
live with Heavenly Father in his kingdom! Oh man I almost cried it was
such a sacred moment to hear someone express those desires!
Vickie was also confirmed this week in church! It was super great, I'm
not sure how much she understands yet about it but she is doing great
and learning each day!
This Sunday I also had to talk in church. I think my bishop discovered
that my stay in this Vineland ward might not be too much longer. I
sure do love this place! Amazing things happen here everyday. I think
so much about the changes that I've been making and am consistently
trying to improve things in myself. I'm sure there are many things
that I'm not aware of yet, but I'm grateful for all the little things.
Even though the mission is the best place to be able to make these
changes I hope that throughout my life I will always be able to look
for ways of improvement. So I guess this makes me ask the question to
each of you— what changes are you making in your life? What goals are
you setting to achieve that?
This life is the time for us to prepare to meet God and when we come
closer to God he shows us our weaknesses. So what areas can you
improve? I hope you find things each day that can help you better your
life and stretch higher!
Well fam bam I Loovvveee ya! Hope you are all doing awesome. Have a great week!
Love, Sister Beames
