Family! This transfer is coming to an end already and once again I ask
where on earth did the time go?!
It feels like it has been only a week since I last got this new
companion, and now I know that in a few short days I will know if I
will be staying or leaving this area! I have absolutely loved
Vineland! It is such a great place with so many prepared people. Each
day I see miracles and my gratitude for God and his tender mercies
grows so much.
This last week was pretty exciting. I will list a few of our adventures...
1. Set baptismal dates for Liz and John (two 14 yr old twins that we
are teaching)
2. Held the first ever Stretch family home evening
3. Set a date for Vickie for baptism, which might be changed again
because we just found out we can no longer do baptisms in lakes or
rivers
4. Came in 2nd place at stake soccer tournament
5. Was pushed in swimming pool
6. Blocked on Facebook by a less-active/recent convert
7. Had my mono come back- ended up gagging myself on a dime sized
white bacteria thing that came out of a gland on the back of my throat
8. Pranked our RC for saying that he was going to fire us, so had
elders call him and tell him that they were the new missionaries
9. Had a really awesome lesson with Joanne, and taught Danny-our
investigator we are teaching to read- vowels (did that by trying to
remember the alien story grandma metcalf taught from 1st grade)
10. RC William and Shalise bore their testimonies in church :) it was awesome
Some of that might not make sense to all of you but it was good for
memory or journal purposes for me!
This last Friday would have been a year ago when i was sent home from
the mission. I am so grateful for the experiences I have had in the
past year and to see changes in myself and where I am at today. I am
grateful for my Father in Heaven and the love that he has given to me.
The gospel has blessed my life so much that I love it. Hope each of
you are able to count your blessings each day and take the opportunity
to write some of those down!
Love you all! Hope you all are having as hot of a summer as I am!
Enjoy each day :)
